Management Information System is a system provides information in
managing organizations effectively. It is involves three primary resources:
Technology, Information, and People. Those three resources are key components
when studying management information systems, each components cannot be
separated.
There are several technology occurs that includes as
management information system, those are :
1. Hypertext
Hypertext is a text which contains links to
other texts. The term was invented by Ted Nelson around 1965.

2 . HyperMedia
HyperMedia is not
constrained to be text-based. It can include other media, e.g., graphics,
images, and especially the continuous media - sound and video. Apparently, Ted
Nelson was also the first to use this term.

3. Multimedia
Multimedia
uses computers to present text, audio, video, animation, interactive features,
and still images in various ways and combinations made possible through the advancement
of technology. By combining media and content, those interested in multimedia
can take on and work with a variety of media forms to get their content across.
This is an exciting new field for those interested in computers, technology,
and creative career options. Multimedia can be accessed through computers or
electronic devices and integrates the various forms together. One example of
multimedia would be combining a website with video, audio, or text images. From
the articles above, we can conclude that management information system involves
three primary resources: Technology, Information, and People,. Those three
resources are key components when studying management information systems, each
components cannot be separated. The most important component is people, because
they are the operator of two other components. If there are not people the
management information system will run not well enough.
